With images of beautiful, ‘perfect’ celebrities following us everywhere we go, sometimes it’s hard to avoid negative thoughts about our own body image. It’s as if we subconsciously put up standards that we must abide by in order to be considered ‘pretty’ or ‘attractive’, but in reality, there are no standards. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and it’s how we champion that beauty that matters. There are some truly inspirational women in this world who represent what it means to love yourself and are great role models for those of us who feel we can’t wear that short dress, or put on that red lipstick. Slater expresses herself through her wardrobe, with her unique style and fashion musings being showcased via her blog.  Showing age has no limits for a fashionista, Slater’s followers are predominantly from younger generations who are inspired by her bold choices and care-free attitude.

She’s a strong ambassador for curvaceous women everywhere and those who have previously struggled with eating disorders and self-image.

Canadian Winnie might have previously been in the news for potentially dating Lewis Hamilton, but the model is also a spokesperson and activist for those who suffer with skin condition vitiligo. Actress. Feminist. U.N. ambassador. Emma Watson is the epitome of a strong, independent woman. Despite facing some criticisms recently for a nearly topless photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine, Emma defended herself and the photos, stating that “Feminism is about giving women choice.” As a voice of positivity for women everywhere, Emma continues to fight for female liberation, and that includes the choice to be able to express ourselves however we choose. She also gives us serious style envy.
