How To: Survive the Summer-Autumn transition

So going from Summer to Autumn can be such a pain. From pretty summer dresses to thick jumpers and scarfs can be pretty dull…especially when it’s like being in the antarctic at 8AM and the desert by 3PM. Autumn is a strange season, so planning outfits to suit the weather sometimes seems impossible. Here at Want That Trend, we have figured out a guide on how to perfectly transition through the seasons!

1. Layering is VITAL – With cold mornings and sun beaming afternoons, you can never keep up. The trick of layering is great, take our Katie Piper Black Floral Plunge Skater, add a pair of tights, black cardigan with a coat and scarf. So if you get too hot, a layer is easy to remove.

2. The scarf – Adding a patterned, silk, cotton, bright or any kind of scarf to an outfit can instantly make it pop. Add a red scarf to our Mimi Black Panelled Off Shoulder Skater, instantly recycling it to a fresh new Autumn outfit.

3. Long Sleeves – A few long sleeve t-shirts or dresses are so handy to have in a transitional wardrobe, reuse your summer pieces over a long sleeve, they’re the perfect item for layering.

4. Tights – Do you have a few summer dresses lying around that you can’t bare to put into storage just yet? Well you don’t have to – throw on a pair of tights with our Pink Jake Black Top Cap Sleeve Skater and look fabulous this Autumn.
